What application forms are particularly popular and why? In Europe, the light texture milks are very popular because they are a real upgrade in photo-protection: less sticky, less greasy, with nude skin sen- sation. The sprays have also proved a tremendous success with the public, because they are convenient and easi- ly applied. This is very important, espe- cially for children’s sun protection. And of course, high protection oils, recently introduced on the market, are gaining popularity. In Asia most of the people are look- ing for very fresh, light and watery textures with high levels of protection: a real challenge! What will be the trends for sun care products and applications in future? With the F.D.A.’s new monograph, and REACH in Europe, we will face new regulatory challenges and this will give us exciting opportunities to innovate. In line with L’Oréal’s strategy, we continue our research on UV damage and this will inspire us for new developments. We will continue ex- ploring the various sensorial direc- tions to create new consumer experi- ences with sunscreen products, and at the same time optimizing protective efficacy.
